We have helped thousands of people over the course of 40 years. But believe it or not, there are still a few things we haven’t shared. We often talk about our mission or the patients we’ve helped, but here’s some more fun facts about DLN you probably didn’t know!
4 DLN Fun Facts:
- Headquarters — the Dental Lifeline Network headquarters are located in Denver, Colorado. The office building was formerly named the “Wewatta Train Transfer Building.” It was built in 1886 and converted to lofts in the 1990s and still holds many original charming characteristics, like original exposed brick and pipe, giving a trendy industrial feel.
- The DLN Team — 25 employees are situated in offices across the country. Program coordinators help arrange treatment for Donated Dental Services (DDS) patients from almost every state in the US. The national headquarter office has 31 employees who staff various departments like development, marketing, and HR.
- Word-of-Mouth — The #1 way dentists hear about us is from peers: volunteer dentists encouraging others to become part of DDS. The work of DLN would not be possible without volunteer dentists and labs. The more people spread the word of the life-changing care that’s possible, the more patients we can help with the generosity of volunteers!
- Dr. Larry Coffee founder and…Santa Claus? — Our Founder Dr. Larry Coffee worked as a department store Santa Claus during his undergraduate studies. We all know he has been making wishes come true since he founded DLN 40 years ago, helping many people smile again!
