Colorado ASDA Raises over $5,500 for DLN at Beat Tooth Decay 5k

On April 21, over 120 people faced spring snow in Colorado to run in the inaugural Beat Tooth Decay 5k!

The non-profit race emphasizes the importance of both a healthy body and healthy mouth, and was led by the Colorado American Student Dental Association (ASDA).

“Planning an event like this is so much more rewarding knowing the positive impact that DLN has on our community,” said Sam Lynass, Colorado ASDA Health and Wellness Chair. “Colorado ASDA was thrilled to be able to bring awareness to the importance of dental health and to benefit such an outstanding organization.”

Colorado ASDA is a dental student led organization that prioritizes advocacy and service through dentistry. They teamed up with DLN as its charitable partner for the race with ASDA’s goal “to ensure that DLN remains a force for good within the community for years to come.”

Participants raised over $5,500 through race registrations and donated 100% of the proceeds to Dental Lifeline Network. Every dollar donated generates $9 in care, which means the race allows for DLN to provide nearly $50,000 in care to deserving patients. Thank you to runners, volunteers, and sponsors who continue to support DLN!

Through partnerships with the Colorado ASDA and many other supporters, DLN has been able to provide over $32 million to more than 12,000 needy patients in Colorado since 1985.

Join the volunteer network of over 15,000 dentists and 3,500 labs across the country with DLN’s Donated Dental Services (DDS) program! Still want to support Dental Lifeline Network but aren’t a dentist or lab? Donate to our organization and spread the word about DLN!
