DLN Generates $1 Million in Care on Every Smile Counts Day

On February 23, 2017 – Every Smile Counts Day – thank you to more than 22 dental industry companies and dentists that raised more than $133,000 benefiting Dental Lifeline Network (DLN). The funds help those who desperately need comprehensive, and often, life-saving dental treatment. With every dollar raised nearly $9 in care is generated.

“Bringing the industry together to support and incredible, philanthropic program was rewarding for all who participated,” said Dentsply Sirona Executive Chairman and Every Smile Counts Day Committee Chair Bret Wise.

Millions of people throughout the United States with disabilities or who are elderly or medically fragile don’t have the ability to pay for vital dental treatment. Through the Donated Dental Services (DDS) program, volunteers provide care for people who desperately need dental treatment.

“We are grateful for the commitment and generosity of this community,” said Fred Leviton, president DLN. “Through this effort DLN will be able to change more lives of people with significant dental concerns.”

Participating dental manufacturing and distributor companies donated on this day including: 3M Oral Care, ACTEON North America, A-dec, Air Techiniques, Benco Dental, Burkhart Dental, Carestream Dental, Colgate, Coltene, Crest Oral B, Dental Health Products, Inc., Dentsply Sirona, Henry Schein Dental, Ivoclar Vivadent, Meisinger, Midmark, J. Morita, NDC Dental, Patterson Dental, SciCan, Septodont, Young Innovations

And support from: American Dental Association, Chicago Dental Society, Dental Trade Alliance and Efficiency in Group Practice.
