New Anthem Foundation Grant
Anthem, a new supporter, has granted $100,000 to DLN to advance efforts in California, Colorado, Connecticut, Indiana, Nevada, New Hampshire, and New York in 2019. Anthem’s grant is estimated to result in nearly $1.5 million in patient care for over 300 people (for each $1 given to DLN, $8.87 is provided in care).
The grant will provide critical dental care for people with special needs, complementing the Anthem Whole Health Connection approach. By supporting DLN, Anthem reinforces efforts to draw the connection between dental care and overall health.
“Anthem’s support means DLN can serve more people with special needs and seriously-neglected dental diseases,“ said Fred Leviton, CEO, Dental Lifeline Network. “We’re so thankful that we’re able to make incredible – often life saving – changes in people’s health.”
Delta Dental Support
Delta Dental has been a long-time supporter of DLN. Many of its 39 independent Delta Dental companies have assisted in expanding DLN programming through their support. Thanks to their support, DLN has helped thousands of Americans receive much-needed dental care. The map below lists Delta’s support and provides additional information about support in each state.

“We appreciate the long-time support of many Delta Dental plans,” said Leviton. “Their generosity has not only bolstered our operations in the states we currently run our Donated Dental Services program but it will also help jump start programs in additional states to bring comprehensive dental service nationwide to those who need it most.”
Will You See One
Both organizations assist in leveraging DLN’s Will You See One campaign, which recruits volunteer dentists for DLN programs. Launched in 2017, the campaign targets dentists with the powerful message that volunteer dentists have the capacity to not only provide donated dental care but to change lives within their community—sometimes in a life-saving way.
Last year, DLN took the campaign to the next level by focusing on Will You See One Vet, encouraging dentists to support and honor our veterans in need of comprehensive dental care. Since the campaign began on Veteran’s Day 2018, over 600 volunteers have signed up to treat veterans.
