Partner Resources for COVID-19

During this difficult time, Dental Lifeline Network wanted to share resources from our partner organizations that might be helpful for other dental professionals.

For Dentists

Guardian PPE Reimbursement

Check out this new resource from one of our amazing supporters—Guardian. They are reimbursing their network dentists for PPE expenses to offset additional costs due to COVID-19.

AGD has a number of free webinars for dentists to access here.

ADA Resources

The American Dental Association (ADA) has released a Patient Return Resource Center for Members that can be found here.

The ADA has also updated its Return to Work Interim Guidance Toolkit and released a new flowchart with guidance to follow if a staff member or someone in a staff member’s household tests positive for COVID-19. The toolkit also includes new guidance on how to protect staff, a recommended timeline after an appointment for patients to report any signs or symptoms of COVID-19, detailed information for members only on paying staff who are on leave because of COVID-19, and a link to the Patient Return Resource Center.

For Dental Office Managers and Practice Administrators: The American Association of Dental Office Managers (AADOM) has a list of resources and downloadable forms for re-opening offices available here.

For All Dental Professionals: Patient safety has and will always be every dentist’s highest priority. Extraordinary safety measures have been adopted at practices nationwide to protect patients from COVID-19. Please visit www.dentalsafety.care to learn more.

For Dental Laboratory Owners and Technicians: In response to the COVID-19 outbreak, The National Association of Dental Laboratories (NADL) regularly updates their Facebook page (www.facebook.com/NADL1951) with relevant business updates regarding the impact of COVID-19 and has a host of additional resources and recorded webinars available on their website: https://nadl.org/news/.

The National Board for Certification (NBC) extended the grace period for CDTs and RGs to complete their continuing education to 90-days from a CDTs renewal deadline. This provides an additional three months beyond a CDTs or RGs given deadline to complete all continuing education requirements.

For the General Public: Guardian Life has released an instructional video on best practices for maintaining your oral health at home. Check it out here.
If your organization has a resource that you would like to see included, please contact Jennifer at jvenerable@dentallifeline.org.
