Access to oral health care can be a significant challenge for individuals living with disabilities, those who are elderly or facing severe health crises. Dental Lifeline Network’s Donated Dental Services (DDS) program aims to bridge this gap, working with volunteer dentists and labs to help those in need receive critical care they otherwise couldn’t afford. Currently, 3,045 labs nationwide volunteer for the DDS program, including Peebles Prosthetics in Lakewood, Colorado.
For over three decades, Peebles Prosthetics has demonstrated our mission in action by dedicating their time and expertise to serving patients statewide.
“We volunteer for the DDS Program because we believe everyone deserves access to quality dental care, regardless of their financial circumstances,” shared Teresa Abbott, Business Director of Peebles Prosthetics. “Many individuals face barriers that prevent them from receiving the treatment they need, and by donating our craftsmanship through dental appliance fabrication, we can help improve their oral health, comfort, confidence, and overall quality of life.”
To date, Peebles Prosthetics has generously donated $197,809 in lab fabrications and services, directly impacting the lives of 373 vulnerable Coloradans.
“It is rewarding to use our skills, expertise, and time to make a positive impact in our community and support those who might otherwise go without essential dental care,” said Teresa.
