Just 5% of our country’s 9 million veterans are able to access dental care through the VA. As a result, far too many go without the care they need.
Last year, Dental Lifeline Network helped 958 veterans access $3.5 million in donated care from our community of generous volunteer dentists and labs. But many more need our help. The annual Lifeline Heroes Challenge is DLN’s campaign to rally support to help veterans in need of extensive dental care. You can support this important effort in several ways:
- Make a gift to this year’s Lifeline Heroes Challenge. Your support enables the care of veterans who come to us with serious oral health challenges, but who have nowhere else to turn.
- Become a Lifeline Heroes Challenge corporate sponsor to engage your employees, highlight your community impact, and make a difference for veterans across the country.
- Volunteer – or recruit a new volunteer – to treat one of the many veterans, or others in need, who turn to DLN for help with their serious dental conditions.
This phase of Lifeline Heroes Challenge runs through May, when we will join our supporters and volunteers in celebrating the contributions of our country’s veterans on Memorial Day.
