We’re wrapping up our 2021 Lifeline Heroes Challenge and we are grateful for the $275,000 raised to help more than 1,200 veterans in need.
Thanks to the support of our dental industry heroes — everyone from large corporations pledging to match donations and even small groups of friends and families — all of these individuals and businesses are making comprehensive dental care more accessible to veterans in need.
Did you know that the Veterans Administration is only able to provide dental care to about 3% of veterans? Thus millions of servicemen and servicewomen do not have access to dental coverage. Dental Lifeline Network – and our network of heroes – have truly stepped up to the plate to fill this gap.
Heroes, like Andrew McKellar, who organized a charity boat race in memory of Dr. Loren Feldner, a DDS volunteer and supporter of veterans. With the simple act of gathering for a good cause, see how Andrew and fellow event attendees were able to raise nearly $6,000 for the Lifeline Heroes Challenge in honor of their friend.
Thanks to their generosity, we are able to connect even more veterans with volunteer dentists who have agreed to donate their services to help our military veterans.
